How to Make Baked or Fried Tempeh Crisps
Step 1 – Cut the Tempeh in thin slices. About 1/8″ thick.
Step 2a – Oven baked. Place the slices on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Coat the slices with olive oil and then sprinkle them with salt, pepper and spices, like curry and paprika powder.
Heat the oven to 400 degrees F and bake the slices for about 15 minutes. Turn and bake another 10-15 minutes until crisp.
When done, cool in a rack.
Step 2b – Fried. Heat oil in a skillet and fry the slices of on each side until brown.
Step 3 – Place the fried tempeh on paper kitchen towels.
Step 4 – Sprinkle with salt, pepper and spices. Allow to cool and serve.
